Car rental in Koh Phangan
You can rent a car in Koh Phangan either from Thai people or from Western people. Thai people often have lower rental prices, but when you return the car, some of the cheaper rentals will charge you extra for scratches and minor damage. And they might charge you an extra high price for the repair.

There is a car wash at the large PTT gas station. Cost has to be checked there.
Car wash in Tongsala
No name Thai car wash in the yard. With a lack of customers can be closed. The cost is a bit cheaper than at PTT.

With car repair in Phangan is bad situation. If something serious happens is better to go to Samui or to the mainland.
