Ferry Schedule

There is no airport on the island. Ferry is the best option to travel to and from Koh Phangan, from the mainland (Surat Thani and Chumphon) and the islands of Koh Samui and Koh Tao. Ferries run every day from 5 am to 6 pm.

You can buy a ferry ticket from the office at the pier in Thong Sala, or online on the carrier’s website. You do not need to print an electronic ticket: at the ticket office they will exchange it for you for a paper one. For passengers and motorbikes a ticket can be bought at least 5 minutes before departure. But if you want to cross by car, it is recommended to buy your ticket in advance, as in high season the available spots run out fast.

Travelling with a motorbike or car is only possible on the Raja Ferry.
For now Seatran and Songserm boats don’t operate, that’s why they are not in the schedule. Lomprayah can cancel boats on their concern. Raja sticks to the schedule. Use Raja Ferry!
The Night Boat departs from the town pier of Surat Thani. It goes quietly and slowly and is very comfortable to sleep — there are places on the boat to lie down. During storms and the Full Moon this boat does not operate.
